Head of Strategic Planning

Denise has over 35 years of experience in Financial Services and Asset Management. She is currently the Head of Strategic Planning at IBOSS, working closely with Managing Director and CIO Chris Metcalfe to drive the company’s strategic goals. Previously, Denise served as Chief Operating Officer before taking a career break, after which she was invited to return to the business.

Denise worked alongside the founders of IBOSS Ltd at an IFA firm in 2005, where the investment proposition and portfolio research was developed that would later evolve into a standalone company in 2008. As a member of the Senior Management Team, Denise played a key role in establishing IBOSS Asset Management in March 2015 and later oversaw the introduction of the DFM MPS offering in 2018.

Throughout her career, Denise has contributed across a wide range of business areas, including internal operations, governance, compliance, and risk management. She has also overseen HR, negotiated contracts, led major projects, and managed audit queries and due diligence processes. Notably, she supported two business sales, migration work, and operational changes during IBOSS’s integration with the Kingswood Group.

Key Responsibilities Day-to-Day:

  • Supporting the Managing Director in achieving company goals and objectives.
  • Collaborating with the Managing Director to develop and refine the business plan.
  • Reviewing current business strategies and goals.
  • Managing some of our strategic account relationships.
  • Leading and managing specific challenges and business development initiatives.
  • Assisting HR and the Managing Director with recruitment and overseeing BDM activity.
  • Working closely with the IBOSS team to implement and develop organisational strategies.

Outside of Work

Outside of work, Denise enjoys football, particularly supporting her daughter’s team. She stays busy with family life, including raising two teenagers and caring for the family’s puppy, Billy. Denise also loves walking, spending time with friends and family, and taking holidays whenever possible.
