Head of Operations & Systems

Rebecca Anscombe is the Head of Operations & Systems at IBOSS Asset Management. She joined the business in 2008 after graduating from Northumbria University with a degree in Law. Since then, Rebecca has become a key figure in the day-to-day and strategic operations of the business.

Rebecca’s role centres around the creation, coordination, and continual development of internal systems and processes. She works closely with all departments to ensure operational efficiency across the business and leads the Operations department in delivering consistently high levels of service for advisers and planners.

One of Rebecca’s core responsibilities is overseeing the quarterly rebalancing of all client portfolios. IBOSS’s disciplined rebalancing schedule ensures portfolios remain aligned with strategic asset allocations while minimising unnecessary trading activity.

Rebecca also plays a central role in the adoption of new technology within the firm—implementing platforms, risk tools, and third-party research systems to support both operational excellence and investment insight. She is responsible for critical company reporting, provides compliance oversight, and ensures that IBOSS continues to meet its Consumer Duty responsibilities.

Committed to her professional development, Rebecca has passed R01 and R02, completed Unit 1 of the Investment Management Certificate (IMC), and is currently studying for Unit 2.

Key Responsibilities Day-to-Day:

Leading the Operations department and overseeing daily service delivery.
Coordinating quarterly portfolio rebalances across all client models.
Ensuring accurate and timely execution of investment updates and changes.
Reviewing and enhancing internal systems, workflows, and operational efficiency.
Managing the implementation of new platforms, tools, and technologies.
Delivering critical business reporting and supporting regulatory oversight.
Supporting compliance functions and ensuring Consumer Duty standards are upheld.

Outside of Work

Outside of the office, Rebecca enjoys attending concerts, reading crime thrillers, and has a keen interest in history.
